Green Embrace Smoothie
Mango adds its characteristic sweetness to counter the deep, dark greenness of this superfood-heavy shake. Substitute coconut water for the plain water for extra sweetness and bonus electrolytes.
Makes about 16 ounces (470 milliliters)
1 cup (240 milliliters) water
1 ripe frozen or fresh banana, broken into chunks
Handful of spinach leaves
1/2 medium mango, peeled, pitted and roughly chopped
2 teaspoons coconut oil
1 teaspoon supergreen powder, such as Boku brand
1 teaspoon lucuma powder
1/4 teaspoon spirulina powder
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend at high speed until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve, over ice if you'd like, or pour into a container, cover, and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
